Tips and guidelines

In order to facilitate the process of searching and offering housing in Latvia, movement "I want to help refugees" has created a series of informative resources. We know that finding housing can seem difficult, and we hope that these resources will make the process simpler, more enjoyable, and easier to understand. Please note that all materials are prepared in Latvian and Ukrainian languages.

If you want to know what financial aid is available to you, use our "Financial Aid Summary" here

You can find general information about renting an apartment here (material created together with the association "Shelter "Safe House"" (Patvērums “Drošā Māja”);

If you are looking for a rental agreement in Latvian and Ukrainian, download a template here (agreement was prepared together with the association "Shelter "Safe House"”);

We also invite you to use our booklet "Practical guide to renting a house";

In order to make the process safer and avoid unnecessary risks, it is definitely recommended to get acquainted with the material on how to recognize and prevent human trafficking risks (the material was prepared together with “Resource center for Women “ MARTA””);

Information about public transport, regions and neighborhoods of Riga can be found here;

If you still have unanswered questions after you have read through the information and resources above, we invite you to write to us at info@majasbegliem.lv to find out about other organizations that will be able to provide advice on the issues you are interested in.

Association "I want to help refugees" is fully responsible for the content of all the materials listed above.
